This invention is directed to software systems for development, control, programming, simulation, and emulation of fixed, software-configurable, software-reconfigurable, and software-controlled Lab-on-a-chip (“LoC”) devices. In addition to actually interfacing, controlling, and providing a software-development platform a wide range of LoC devices, the invention provides the ability to use the same files and scripts to control simulations and associated visualizations of the simulations. Additionally, the invention further can be used to control software-reconfigurable and software-controlled emulation systems. Such software-controlled emulation system are taught in a companion provisional patent application co-filed this same day (Dec 4, 2001) with Applicant’s internal reference number 2152-3058. |
